Women in Combat Arms

Per legislation enacted by congress, starting in 2016 women will be able to serve in any and all units throughout the United States Armed Forces.  This includes Special Forces and Special Operations units such as the United States Army Rangers.  As long as the standards remain the same for all soldiers in Combat Arms units, Females will contribute greatly to the success of the United States Armed Forces.  

Female soldiers have fought and died alongside male soldiers over the last 13 years although they were not authorized to be in combat units.  They have made the same sacrifices that everyone else serving our Country has. Not every man is cutout to serve in combat arms units and to the same degree, not every woman is however, every citizen of the United States should be given the same opportunity to serve their country in the manner that they are best capable.
